Business Cards: How to Exchange and Manage Contact Information

Overview:

Learn how to quickly exchange contact details using QR codes at our events and manage connections seamlessly through our mobile app. You can organize your contacts within the app or export them directly into a spreadsheet or phone contact list.

How it Works:

Scan QR Codes: Use the event mobile app to scan QR codes from other attendees and instantly exchange contact information.

Manage Your Shared Information: By default, only your name, job title, and email address are shared. You can customize your profile settings to include additional details such as your mobile or office number.

Save Contacts: All scanned contacts are securely stored within your app profile, allowing easy access whenever you need them.

How to Access Business Cards:

  1. Log into your iConnections Mobile App.

  2. Select Business Card in the top menu
    Or click your profile and choose Business Card from the menu.

How To Scan QR Codes:

Your personal QR code will be displayed for others to scan.

To scan another attendee’s code:

  1. Log into your iConnections mobile App.

  2. Select Business Card from the top menu

  3. Select Scan QR Code.

  4. Point your device’s camera at the code.

  5. Confirmation will appear once the scan is successful.

To View and Manage Contacts:

  1. Login to your iConnections mobile app

  2. Select "All Business Cards" from the top menu

    1. Or, select Business Card from the top menu

    2. Scroll to the All Business Cards section below your QR code and tap “See All”

  • Sort your contacts alphabetically or by the most recent additions.

  • Use filters to narrow your list by event, company type, or date to quickly find the connections you need.

To Export Contacts:

  1. Login to the iConnections Mobile app

  2. Select All Business Cards from the top menu

  3. Tap the Download icon in the upper right corner.

  4. Choose to either Export via Email as a spreadsheet or Save Contacts to phone

  5. Select the contacts you want to export, then tap Export or Done to complete the process.

Is my contact information secure?

Yes, all data is encrypted and stored securely on the mobile app.

Can I access business cards on the web-version of the iConnections platform?

Business cards can currently be viewed and managed exclusively through the mobile app.
